David Burrowes

About
David is a director and a writer based in Sydney, Australia. He graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Directing from the National Institute of Dramatic Art and holds a Bachelor of Digital Media (majoring in Film Production) from the College of Fine Arts, UNSW. As a director David has made a number of shorts, music videos and a heap of advertorial content, including multiple nationally aired television campaigns. His films have been presented at film festivals globally - most recently with Granny which was selected to screen at 10+ festivals around the world including Fantasia Film Festival (Montreal), Dances with Films (Los Angeles) and Sydney Underground Film Festival (Sydney) where it received the Festival Choice Award. David is currently developing his debut feature, The Old Gods, with development funding from Screen Australia at Studio Nocturnal.
David is the co-director + founder of STUDIO NOCTURNAL and is the resident director at ACUITY.
